Judco is a 3rd Generation Family-Owned Business that has farmed in the Gisborne Region since the late 1890s.
Our region's unique soil types and climatic conditions are the backbone of our mission: to always use sustainable methods that couple technology with exceptional practices to ensure the wellbeing of future generations.
We crop roughly 500ha on the Gisborne Flats and have good long term relationships with many landowners. Judo employs 20 full-time staff and up to 20 part-time contractors throughout the season

Judco have also created Sunfirst Herbs specifically to help fulfil the ever increasing worldwide demand for natural herbal products.
Sunfirst was established in Tairāwhiti because our unique climatic conditions and soil types are ideal to grow crops such as Echinacea. Using these natural resources, our many years of farming experience, modern technology and growing techniques allows us to consistently deliver high quality dried herbs to market.
